He was born an orphan with no name. He was adopted by a loving Jewish family in rural Pennsylvania. They named him Phineas.
He had several names throughout his life. As a young Marine in Vietnam, he was called Private Brand, Private First Class Brand, Lance Corporal Brand and Corporal Brand.
When he was recruited by the Central Intelligence Agency to conduct black ops in Cambodia, he was only known as “Bill.”

He was discovered by a multinational agency simply known as “The Organization.” They operated under the Nevada desert and employed a team of supernatural humans to act as undercover problem-solvers and as a crisis response team. There, he was simply known as “Mister Green.”
After quitting the Organization, Phineas began to fight crime in the marginalized Chicago Jensen Park neighborhood. The locals called him “The Chameleon” because of his ability to camouflage himself into a blur. After he busted a few dirty city officials and police officers, the Chicago PD called him, “Captain Justice.”

Project Sidekick revolves around Phineas. In the late 1990’s, after a tough bout with some dirty cops, Phineas decided it was time to take on a sidekick. Fighting evil was getting physically more difficult every day and he needed to hire some muscle. That’s where John Zhang comes in. A street punk with a penchant for beating up multiple thugs at a time, Phineas takes on John as his apprentice and sidekick; hence, Project Sidekick.
